When we describe about the agriculture, what was in your mind? food, plant, or even cultivation. We get food from plants cultivated, plants that we derive from agriculture, all headed to the farm. Agriculture was developed at least 10,000 years ago. Agricultural practices such as irrigation, crop rotation, fertilizers, and pesticides were developed long ago but have made great strides in the past century.
With the times and technological advances, people increasingly prefer high yield. The rapid rise of mechanization in the late 19th and 20th centuries, particularly in the form of the tractor, and later the Combine harvester, farming tasks could be done with a speed and on a scale previously impossible.
